Sol African Congas
Our African Congas have a longer bass tone and more of a "ring" than our Cuban style Congas. They are similar to the Afro-Cuban drums Bonko, used in Abakua music, and Boku, used in the Carnaval music of Santiago de Cuba. For these 44" drums we use kiln-dried red oak and a thinner cowskin.
